Local processing

rcll uses app names and identifiers, window identifiers and titles, window sizes and positions, display identifiers and dimensions, and saved layout choices to match windows and restore arrangements.

Workspace files can include names you give them, window titles, selected document names and file references, and URLs with their chosen apps. File references help rcll find documents after a move or rename. rcll uses this information locally. Recalling a URL sends that address to the browser you selected, which contacts the website under its own settings and privacy policy. It does not read document contents, reconstruct browser history, record your screen, or keep a history of what you type.

Permissions

Accessibility permission lets rcll identify, move, resize, and focus app windows. You can revoke it in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. Window features that depend on it will stop working.

rcll does not require Screen Recording or Input Monitoring for its own window placement. Optional keyboard shortcuts use macOS shortcut registration. drft has its own permission requirements when you use it alongside rcll.

Saved workspaces

Workspaces are stored in ~/Library/Application Support/rcll/Workspaces/. Each workspace has its own file. When it is updated, rcll can keep the previous version for recovery.

rcll does not upload these files or sync them to a developer-operated cloud service. Your Mac or backup software may copy them according to your settings.

drft integration

If you use the drft integration, the two apps communicate locally on your Mac. They exchange window-matching information, which can include document references, display information, column layouts, and recall results so drft can restore its canvas. This communication does not use a hosted integration service.

drft handles its own information under its Privacy Policy.

Diagnostics

Diagnostic output can contain technical information such as your macOS version, permission status, display and window counts, and errors. rcll does not automatically submit these reports to ndrws LLC.

Reports, workspace files, and screenshots submitted for support may contain app names, document titles, file paths, saved URLs, or other personal information. Review attachments and remove information unrelated to your request before sending them.

This website

This website uses Google Tag Manager to manage website tags. Requests to Google include standard browser and network information. Configured tags may collect website usage information or use cookies. A fallback request is made when JavaScript is disabled. See Google’s Privacy Policy. Fonts are hosted on this site. Its interactive examples run in your browser using sample windows. They cannot access your Mac’s windows or saved workspaces.

Your selected theme is stored in your browser under rcll-theme. This preference is not sent to us. Clear this site’s browser data to remove it. Your browser settings and content blockers can limit third-party scripts and cookies.

Delivering a webpage involves standard request information, including your IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time. Hosting providers may process and retain server logs for delivery, security, and troubleshooting. These server logs concern website requests, not activity in the rcll app.

Purchases and licensing

When you purchase a license through Lemon Squeezy, its checkout processes the information needed for payment and delivery of your receipt and license key. Lemon Squeezy handles this information under its Privacy Policy.

License activation sends your license key and a random installation identifier to Lemon Squeezy. Validation and deactivation use your license key and activation identifier. The app checks saved activations when it opens and once a day while running. The service receives your IP address with these requests. These checks do not send window titles, document contents, saved URLs, app usage, or keyboard input. License and trial records are stored locally in macOS Keychain. A connection failure does not remove a saved paid activation.

Support and sharing

When you email rcll@ndr.ws, ndrws LLC receives your email address, message, and any attachments. We use them to answer your request and investigate problems. Email and hosting providers process information needed to deliver those services.

We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We may disclose information when required by law or where necessary to protect legal rights and address security incidents. Optional links to other services are governed by those services’ policies.

Retention and your choices

Local workspace files remain on your Mac until you delete them. Deleting a workspace in rcll removes its saved file and local recovery copy. After quitting the app, you can delete its Workspaces folder to remove all saved workspaces. Uninstalling the app alone may leave those files behind. Copies in backups remain subject to your backup settings.

Support records are retained as needed to resolve requests, maintain necessary records, and meet legal obligations. Server-log retention depends on the service handling the request. Retention periods for provider-held logs are governed by the provider’s practices and applicable legal requirements.

You can request access, correction, or deletion of personal information you have sent us by emailing rcll@ndr.ws. We may need to verify the request. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to obtain a copy, object to or restrict processing, or complain to a privacy regulator. We honor applicable rights and do not penalize you for exercising them.

We cannot remotely access or delete workspace files held only on your Mac.

Security

Workspace files rely on your Mac’s account and filesystem protections. Maintaining device security and installing macOS updates helps protect this information. No storage or communication method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children’s privacy

rcll is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has sent personal information through support.

Policy changes

This policy describes the rcll app and website. If information handling changes, we will update this page and its revised date. Material changes will be communicated, and consent obtained, where required. New information handling will be disclosed before it begins.
